Here's the process our designers swear by:⁠

01. Start with the rug. Always. It sets the scale, anchors the palette, and gives every other piece of furniture a reference point. Choose your rug first and the rest of the room becomes a lot easier.⁠

02. Add throw blankets and pillows to build texture. A room without texture falls flat. Layer different fabrics, weights, and weaves — linen, bouclé, velvet, knit — to create a space that feels as good as it looks.⁠

03. Layer your lighting. Overhead lighting is a starting point, not a finish line. Add floor lamps, table lamps, and sconces to create depth and warmth at every level of the room.⁠
